Earlier today, we organised an information session in collaboration with the Malta Tax and Customs Administration to provide clarity on recent legislative amendments to Malta’s VAT and gaming tax frameworks.

Kim Dalli, Head of PR and Communications, will be participating in SBC Malta as part of the panel Crisis Comms Masterclass: Who Got It Right? The session will examine best practices in crisis communications, drawing on real case studies strategies within regulated environments.

CTO Francois Piccione and Chief Officer for Policy, Research and Insight Kinga Warda lead the workshop AI in Gaming: Shaping the Industry’s First AI Charter, focusing on governance, innovation and the responsible integration of AI within the gaming sector.

Kinga Warda, Chief Officer for Policy, Research and Insight, will be contributing to SBC Malta on Wednesday, 29 April at 12:20 CEST as part of the IMGL Masterclass AI Under the Microscope: Regulation, Responsibility and the Next Frontier.

Nicole Grech, Player Protection Analyst, will be participating in the Ethical Gambling Forum on 29 April. Nicole will be joining the panel Defining “Good” Across Different Regulatory Models, where she will share the Authority’s work on player protection and responsible gambling.

Today’s Meet the Regulator session with MIA enabled open dialogue on key regulatory developments and priorities. Discussions covered regulatory challenges,updates on the ESG Code, AI Gaming Charter, financial requirements, AML obligations, and our supervisory approach.

Meet the Regulator on regulatory oversight and the enhanced approach This session hosted by the MIA, will feature Martha Brincat will outline the enhanced approach being taken and how it supports clearer and more consistent supervision across the sector.

Meet the Regulator on AML oversight and obligations in gaming Organised by The Malta Institute of Accountants, this session will see Rachel Bezzina address regulatory expectations, common risk areas, and the importance of effective controls in supporting compliance.
