From 29 March -02 April 2026, the High Commissioner of Malta to Bangladesh ( resident in New Delhi ) H.E. Reuben Gauci visited Dhaka, Bangladesh. During the trip he met the State Minister ( Junior Minister ) for Foreign Affairs H.E. Ms Shama Obaed MP & other dignitaries.

Met with Dr. Ian Borg, Deputy Prime Minister & FM of Malta, on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi. Discussed maritime cooperation, tourism, visa facilitation, and launching bilateral consultations. Invited Maltese investors to explore opportunities in Sri Lanka’s tech hubs, green infrastructure, and Colombo Port City. Reaffirmed commitment to strengthening Sri Lanka -Malta relations.

On 05 March 2026, @DeputyPMIanBorg launched the Maltese Soft Drink KINNIE in India at Pullman Hotel , New Delhi in the presence of the High Commissioner of Malta to India H.E. Reuben Gauci, Deputy Head of Mission Mrs Tarniem Mangion Iskandar & 2nd Sec Mr Daniel Mallia .

On 20 Feb 2026, the High Commissioner of Malta to India H.E. Reuben Gauci addressed the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence at the AI Impact Summit- GPAI Council Meeting in New Delhi, which event welcomed Malta & Saudi Arabia as new members of GPAI.

10 Feb 2026, High Commissioner of Malta to India H.E. Reuben Gauci traveled from New Delhi to Dumka ,Jharkhand to attend the funeral of the last Maltese Jesuit in India, Fr Paul Aquilina SJ, who sadly passed away on 09 Feb 2026 in the early hours of the morning.

14-16Jan2026, the Speaker of the Parliament of Malta Hon Dr Angelo Farrugia attended the 28th CSPOC 2026 at the historic House of Parliament of India. He was accompanied by the Clerk of the House Ms Eleanor Scerri & the High Commissioner of Malta in India H.E. Reuben Gauci .

09Dec-12Dec2025, the High Commissioner of Malta in India H.E. Reuben Gauci travelled to the Indian State of Nagaland with his guest Maltese Poet and nominee for the Mediterranean Poetry prize Prof Norbert Bugeja, in order to participate in the Hornbill Festival of Nagaland 2025.

On 03 December 2025, the High Commissioner of Malta to Sri Lanka ( resident in New Delhi ) H.E. Reuben Gauci accredited VFS Visa Application Centre in Colombo to the High Commission of Malta in India to be able to issue Short Stay Schengen visas for Sri Lankan nationals.

On Tuesday 02 Dec 2025, the High Commissioner of Malta to Sri Lanka ( resident in New Delhi ) H.E. Mr Reuben Gauci celebrated the 51st Anniversary of the Republic Day of Malta in Colombo, SriLanka. Thanks to SiGMA Foundation & A&Z Import Export for their very kind sponsorship.

On 01 December 2025, the High Commissioner of Malta to Sri Lanka ( resident in New Delhi ) H.E. Reuben Gauci , inaugurated the Sigma World South Asia iGaming Conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka with the founder of Sigma Maltese National Mr Eman Pulis.
