When game discussion feels like high school... @Jorraptor is spot-on here. Stop generalizing. Name names and examples of bad reviews if you got receipts. People love to read my bio, know NOTHING about my history, tastes and game knowledge. Just parroting little gotcha-replies like "journo clown" ... "oh of course IGN..." IGN doesn't review games. People do. So, know who you are reading and listening to. Look them up and hold them accountable. Same goes for creators. Not every take will be a banger. Yes, "outlets" can become weak or questionable as a brand. But there's no Secret Society of Game Journalists. Stop trying to boil game discussion down into some Jocks vs. Nerds Club. (P.S. - Many who parrot this stuff are also the people who say you don't need to play games to know if they are any good... and then turn around and complain people haven't played enough 🤷‍♂️) (P.P.S. -- When so many games are 7.0s... and therefore generally good or have potential, it makes reading and researching all the more important.)
JorRaptor@Jorraptor

I do think the narrative 'game journalist is bad' is stupid & super generalising. Sure there will be people that struggle, but so will many players picking up this game so it's actually great that we have those perspectives. There were countless journalist in the Discord set up for this review that got super far in the game and were helping other people out. No need to throw shade.

The Iron Man skins in Fortnite. Honestly the MCU one is the best of the bunch, and I have the original. Here’s the Iron Man (customizable), Iron Man Zero, Iron Man Mk 45, and the MCU skins.

@ymnis_v1 I tried telling people... Some people are still gonna love this shit, but the game was over hyped for sure.

that 🥷🏾 you love to hate
apparently, they kept the story hidden pre launch because there’s no story to show. pros: - world is genuinely beautiful. - soundtrack is strong. - combat can be fun, especially boss fights. - a handful of side quest chains (mainly greymane stuff) actually have substance. - if you want a 80–100 hour “turn your brain off” game, it delivers. cons: - main story is disconnected filler stitched together. - you can play 40+ hours and nothing meaningful happens narratively. - NPCs are basically props. - quests are drip fed through menus instead of discovered organically. - heavy MMO DNA. fetch quests, bounties, repetition everywhere. - forced grinding via stat checks (boss fights). the game straight up stops you until you farm upgrades. - early game is extremely restricted despite the “freedom” marketing. - enemy variety is awful early on (you’re fighting the same bandits for tens of hours). - batshit padding (178 kill bandit camps, repeated objectives, respawns). - inventory system is almost broken level bad (can’t place items in storage, only remove, constant micromanagement). - side quests often aren’t even voiced properly. - many systems exist just to exist with no depth. - bosses are inconsistent. some great, some literal floating clouds. - pacing is terrible. the game hoards the good content and buries it under hours of filler. youtu.be/czQEIY1xpH4?si…

Xbox just can't catch a fucking break, man. I get patch priority, but maybe you should charge less for the game on the platforms you don't give a shit about? But why, you got people's money and after a couple of hours they're not getting a refund anyway...
Crimson Desert@CrimsonDesert_

#CrimsonDesert will receive an update around launch which will include fixes, improvements, and stability optimizations. For the best experience, please make sure to update the game to the latest version. If you're planning to play on Steam or PS, your download may already be running or you can download the patch now. The patch on Xbox, Epic Games Store, and Mac will follow at a later time, and we'll provide an update in the notice below as soon as it's available. Get more details and read the patch notes here: pearlabyss.info/4lEU2TH

Of course then there’s the original Tony Stark skin that has a built in Suit Up emote. I used to use this one all the time but the newer skins look much better.

The MCU Captain America @Fortnite skin is not worthy to wield Mjolnir (the original Cap skin is). This should be fixed!
