Who decided Canada is "underpopulated"? The government never received a mandate to engineer this demographic explosion. Ottawa overtaxes citizens, stifling the domestic birthrate while forcing growth through mass migration. Canadians didn’t vote for this, yet they pay the price in housing costs and strained services. And here’s the part Bruce skips: opposition MPs don’t run departments. They don’t sign cabinet orders. They don’t control the civil service. Their job is to scrutinize, expose, propose, pressure, and hold government accountable. By that standard, Pierre Poilievre has been one of the most effective parliamentarians in the country. Carney, meanwhile, has actual executive power and still can’t turn “speeds not seen in generations” into anything Canadians can live in, drive on, ship through, export from, or afford. So spare us the résumé sneer. A man without power forcing national debates is accomplishment. A man with power producing slogans is theatre.
