Recovery efforts are underway in our regions following last night’s massive Russian attack. In Zaporizhzhia and Poltava, ordinary apartment buildings were damaged, and fires broke out. Nearly 40 drones were launched against Shostka in the Sumy region. In Slatyne, in the Kharkiv region, a drone struck an electric train. Overall, damage has been reported in 11 regions. As of now, unfortunately, four people have been reported killed in the attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Dozens more have been injured, including children. In total, there were over 390 strike drones and 34 missiles of various types – ballistic, cruise, and guided air-launched missiles. These numbers clearly show that more protection is needed to save lives from Russian strikes. It is important to continue supporting Ukraine. It is important that all agreements on air defense are implemented on time. And it is important that Europe is able to produce the necessary number of air defense missiles to protect itself against any threats. Thank you to everyone who is helping strengthen the defense of Ukraine’s skies!

Putin a Rusko mali pomôcť vyhrať voľby prezidentovi Pellegrinimu. Toto je obrovský škandál a Pellegrini musí jasne odpovedať, či žiadal Rusko o zásah do slovenských volieb. Pred voľbami v roku 2020 Pellegrini žiadal Rusko, aby ho prijal Putin, lebo by mu to pomohlo vyhrať voľby. 3 dni pred voľbami Pellegrini naozaj odcestoval do Moskvy, neprijal ho však Putin, ale iba vtedajší predseda ruskej vlády. Toto nebola žiadna diplomacia, ale priama žiadosť o to, aby Rusko ovplyvnilo voľby na Slovensku. Celú návštevu Pellegriniho riešil Orbánov minister Szijjártó, na ktorého teraz prasklo, že vynášal Rusku citlivé informácie z EÚ. Szijjártóve postoje najlepšie ilustruje fakt, že od začiatku vojny na Ukrajine bol minimálne 16x v Moskve, ale ani raz v Kyjeve. Prezident Pellegrini pred pár mesiacmi podpísal zákon, aby bolo trestným činom zasahovanie iných krajín do volieb na Slovensku. Takže, pán prezident, teraz máte možnosť sa priznať. Žiadali ste Rusko o pomoc vo voľbách v roku 2020? A čo také voľby v roku 2023 alebo prezidentské voľby v roku 2024? Aj vtedy ste komunikovali s Rusmi?

Today, I received a report from our negotiating team following the second day of their meetings in America with envoys of the President of the United States. I am very grateful to American society for its clear support for a normal, dignified peace for Ukraine. It is important that none of us is forced to return to war in a few months or years, which means that security guarantees for Ukraine and for all of Europe must be sufficient for a reliable peace. I expect that after the negotiating team returns to Ukraine, we will discuss in detail all aspects of the meetings, which for now cannot be safely discussed over the phone. There are signals that further exchanges may be possible, and this would be good news and confirmation that diplomacy is working. We hope this will happen.
