You say that people will forever consider video games too childish to value, but they’re still relatively new to the culture. The actual mental and physical effort isn’t more or less valuable.

Also gaming doesn't have a governing body. There is no NFL or NBA for gaming. Its just random people

@DeAndre15942404 @JakeSucky Gaming has governing bodies and cheaters are absolutely disciplined, not just at the highest levels, but even at the casual level, a thing that isn’t necessarily true about sports. At the end of the day, it’s ALL games. The only difference is that sports have been around longer.

@Matt_Scribble @JakeSucky Frankly, idk, & if I'm honest, idc. I'm just stating how society sees it. I believe gaming is viewed childish in society, so it won't ever be recognized as a sport. Sports have governing bodies & gaming dont. Cheaters get ban & compete normal. That doesn't help to take it serious

@DeAndre15942404 @JakeSucky Right but I’m asking what elevates darts and chess to sports and video games as this lesser accomplishment. I think darts and chess are super worthy pursuits! But they aren’t any more physically engaging then a lot of video games. What makes this kid making history lesser?

@Matt_Scribble @JakeSucky People who like video games need to understand that majority of people do not view esports/gaming as sports. People like scump can call themselves a pro gamer or even an athlete, but the reality is most people don't view it as something serious.

The thing that drives me crazy about the Steamboat Willie thing is that SATIRE IS LEGAL, but we've all been pushed into thinking it isn't. There's no 1st amendment lobby group like the NRA, and corporate forces working against it constantly have changed everyone's perceptions

Fun Fact: The Peter Lorre cameos were done out of respect, as Lorre's career was basically ended by the WB Bosses for his staunch advocacy for the set decorator strike of 1945. Cartoonists would put him in cartoons to piss off the WB bosses and keep his legacy alive.

I feel like not enough people are talking about the fact that we have ruined Halloween for children. It’s like 90% for adults now and they shunt the kids off to some parking lot on a random Sunday afternoon in October for a 25 minute “trunk or treat” in a plastic Paw Patrol mask
