@PatrickSmyth Probably can answer this one. The stats app has the ‘house’ but it’s separated into high, med and low danger. Sheffield had more shots in tight hence the xG being higher. It should really take into account for the actual scoreline but that’s one for the league to answer.

@DmcDT I’d say give it to those fans who moan about current officials but I saw them skate on Sunday night.

This would be unreal in the EIHL.

The officials actually know the rules and the fans who complain couldn’t even tell you what penalty they apparently saw.

@satellitelucy @DaveStevens0n @luke_tinks55 There’s a limited pool of officials to choose from. They’re all part time. Players aren’t. The people who usually moan about officials haven’t clue on rules in the first place. (From my own experience). Bad calls or just a call you don’t like because it’s against your team?

I’ve said it before but the officiating in the EIHL is the reason some guys don’t stay in the elite league 🙃

@luke_tinks55 @satellitelucy It would never happen, but they should mix up all European refs to leagues that aren’t their homegrown. Just to give a different experience, grow themselves, put them out their comfort zone. After a season everyone go home and see if there’s been a positive output
