Casting a white character as non-white usually changes nothing about the character except that they’re no longer the 500th white person in the room. Not equivalent at all

She didn’t debut as Magneto’s daughter, she was working for Magneto bc he saved her and Pietro and she felt that they own him for that. She has backstory of facing racism and writers and artists have spoken why she was whitewashed

The point is that non-white characters have a long history of being visually and culturally flattened into whiteness. Ra’s hasn’t been said to be light skinned, and even appears with brown skin in modern media
