It was an honor to welcome legendary actor Michael Douglas to the City of Stamford as he was honored at the @AvonTheatre’s Lifetime Achievement Award Gala.

Fun fact - they serve nearly 3 million scoops of ice cream a year!🍦

Great visit to Longford’s manufacturing facility in the Waterside neighborhood! Since 1992, they have made small-batch ice cream, expanding from Port Chester to retail and wholesale across Westchester & Fairfield Counties.

This week, it was great to visit Karsten Kragh, co-owner of Cwispy Chkn, and his team to discuss how business is going and learn more about the high-quality cooking process of their delicious products. Make sure to check them out at 72 Magee Avenue!

This funding will go toward improvements at Cummings Park & West Beach, including new tennis and pickleball courts, a softball field, renovations to the existing pavilion and bathrooms, and upgrades to the parking lots and beach promenade.

Exciting news! Stamford received $7.7 million in state funding to complete the community commons project at @millriverpark. This project will include a permanent event space, dog park, playscape areas, & it will enhance pedestrian safety on the Washington Boulevard corridor.

Thank you to the city officials in the Engineering, Land Use, and Parks and Recreation Departments who played a role in the success of this project. Construction on the western pavilion will begin after Labor Day and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

Great to join city officials at Cummings Beach to celebrate the completion of phase one of the Cummings Park Pavilion project! Phase one includes enhancements to the east promenade, with new greenery, benches, and three parking spaces adjacent to the pavilion for food trucks.

As part of a service initiative, more than 50 Synchrony employees and interns teamed up with City’s Parks and Recreation Department on Monday for a beach cleanup at Cove Island Park, Cummings Park, and West Beach.

Exciting news! @synchrony and the Synchrony Foundation have given a $100,000 grant to the Stamford Parks Community Partnership, which will benefit our city’s parks and green spaces.
