Pakistan’s pattern feels all too familiar. Old handlers, new assignments. From its role during the Soviet era to the fall of Dr. Najibullah’s government in Afghanistan; serving the same Masters during the first Taliban regime to enabling two decades of occupation. History leaves a long trail. Today, with strikes in Afghanistan and fresh posturing around Iran under the banner of “diplomacy,” the script appears unchanged. It now seems the gravedigger has already been paid to dig Iran’s grave, yet calling a gravedigger a “mediator” is not diplomacy, but a distortion of reality.

It’s safe to say Mama Qadeer is Baluchistan’s “Gandhi” . He perused every peaceful avenue to stop the aggression against the Baluch Nation. His struggle proved that there is no way that the Baluch can achieve their rights and dignity against the tyrant Pakistani military peacefully. May his soul rest in peace.

As representative of the Baloch people at the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva for nearly two decades, I like to thank Megastar @BeingSalmanKhan for spelling out the distinct political identity of Balochistan as a separate nation from the British Raj’s artificially created state of Pakistan.
