When I travel outside of Ukraine, I get daily intelligence updates online. This morning, I was briefed that U.S. military facilities in the Middle East and the Gulf region were photographed by Russian satellites in the interests of Iran. On March 24th, they imaged the U.S.–UK joint military facility on Diego Garcia located in the Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean. They also captured pictures of Kuwait International Airport and parts of the infrastructure of the Greater Burgan oil field. On March 25th, they took pictures of the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The Shaybah oil and gas field in Saudi Arabia, İncirlik Air Base in Türkiye, and Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar were all imaged on March 26th. There are no Ukrainian facilities on this list. But who is helping whom when sanctions are lifted from an aggressor that earns daily revenue and provides intelligence for strikes against American, Middle Eastern, UK, and U.S.–UK bases and so on? When surveillance is carried out over facilities in Ukraine, we always understand that they must be protected, since plans are in motion to destroy them – energy and water infrastructure, military facilities, and so on. Everyone knows that repeated reconnaissance indicates preparations for strikes. How can sanctions be eased if this is what the Russians are doing? There must be pressure on the aggressor. And lifting sanctions is certainly not pressure. It looks strange. Sanctions are being lifted, while the aggressor is providing intelligence to strike facilities, including those of the countries that are discussing or have already lifted sanctions. From my conversation with journalists (3/3).

This is a damaged maternity house in Odesa following a direct hit by a Russian-Iranian “Shahed” drone. Only true barbarians can do something like this. And only true strength can stop such terror. Mass attack on Odesa and Kryvyi Rih targeted residential areas and critical infrastructure. One woman was killed and over a dozen people injured, including a small boy. As I told my G7 colleagues yesterday, the only way to make Russia end the war is through increased pressure on the aggressor: sanctions, isolation, accountability, support for Ukraine.

Death is always at our heels, but in Ukraine, because of russia’s actions, the span of life given to a person is cut even shorter. Whenever I hear or read that people are worse than beasts, I am ready to admit it. If our earth and our life are a training camp to learn how to be a "human"-sane and conscious, then only a fraction of those living will pass this test. But if humanity as a whole must realize this, we will have to live through centuries of wars and keep seeing news like this. For some, it is just a headline from a distant corner of the world; for others, it is another morning where the consequences of someone else's cruelty are seen all too clearly. We all strive to be good people, but there will always be those who couldn’t care less about rules, morality, or the lives of another nation. We are all living beings, but not everyone has a living soul.

Last night, the Russians launched a massive strike on Odesa. There was no military purpose whatsoever – this was pure terror against ordinary civilian life. Over 60 drones were used in the strike on the city. Sadly, there is extensive damage. Among the sites hit were a maternity hospital, ordinary residential buildings, businesses, as well as the port and critical infrastructure. Our services continue to work on the ground wherever needed, providing assistance. Tragically, as of now, one person has been reported killed. My condolences to their family and loved ones. More than ten people have been wounded, including a child. There were also strikes overnight in the Poltava and Dnipro regions. Each such strike proves that Russia has no intention of ending this war. That is why any easing of pressure on it is dangerous. And coordinated efforts to protect people and lives will help us, help our country’s defense and our diplomacy. I thank all our partners who are working with us and supporting our people. We are working with everyone to give our country more strength and more capacity to protect life in Ukraine every day and every night: our cities and villages, our infrastructure. Collective defense and coordinated action can deliver the most effective results.

Residents of occupied Oleshky in the Kherson region are dying from hunger and cold in their own homes, @mihr_ua reports. Reports that Russia is providing Iran with not only satellite data, intelligence, and resources, but also combat drones reaffirm what Ukraine has been saying all along: regimes in Moscow and Tehran are working together to destroy security in Europe and the Middle East. Putin is doing this deliberately. He has been prolonging Russia’s war against Ukraine and he is now doing exactly the same in the Middle East: prolonging the war. For him, war is a source of profit, especially given the oil prices. The longer the suffering lasts, the better for him. In this light, any lifting of restrictions on the Russian economy just does not make any sense. To the contrary, pressure must be sharply increased. The cost of both wars must become unbearable for both criminal regimes.

I met with our military experts who have been in Saudi Arabia for over a week now. Guys reported on the team’s first results and shared conclusions at both the operational and broader levels. The main task of our air defense experts in this region is to identify challenges and determine what changes are needed to strengthen the protection of people and lives from Iranian “shaheds” and missiles. I am grateful to the guys for their exceptionally prompt and thorough work. There are concrete steps we can take together with our partners. Even in such a short time, Ukrainian experts were able to share extensive expertise and demonstrate how we in Ukraine protect our lives and infrastructure. Ukraine's expertise is unique, and recognized as such, and that is why everyone is so interested in our technologies and experience. We are ready to support the protection of those who help us defend our independence. We discussed the key elements needed to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s air defense capabilities.
