A fine but chilly start. Plenty of sunshine this morning but turning hazy this afternoon as cloud increases ahead of a cold front. A high of 12 C. Light N-NW winds, backing S-SW this afternoon.

A chilly start to Thursday with a frost in places ✨ Otherwise, plenty of bright or sunny spells ahead of rain arriving later in the northwest ⛅

Coldest on the 26th with a low of -1.1 C. Sunshine was a little above average with 126.4 hrs, compared to usual of 121. 5 hrs and rainfall was a little below the average of 39.4mm with 35.2mm recorded. Wettest on 12th with 12.6mm. 2/2

March was much milder than usual, but rainfall and sunshine were around the average. We had a mean max of 12.2C, well above average of 10.2 C and the third warmest on record for us. Warmest on 31st when we reached 18.1 C. Overnight mean min of 4.0 C, above the usual 2.8 C. 1/2

Largely cloudy today, but cloud will thin for a time this afternoon to give some sunny spells. Later in the day a weak front will move south to give some slight rain from early evening. Gentle SW winds veering W'ly and becoming light to moderate. A high of 14 C.

Turning a little warmer today. Variable cloud with sunny spells. Light to moderate W'ly winds. In the sun feeling quite pleasant with a high of 16 C.

Another windy day, but not as windy as yesterday when we had a gust of 45 KT. Largely cloudy with showers at first, these dying out through the morning with more in way of cloud breaks and sunny spells this afternoon. Fresh to strong WNW winds. A high of 11 C.

A much sunnier day than yesterday, but also much colder. A high of 8 C but feeling much colder in the strong and gusty NW wind. Otherwise sunny spells and a chance of a shower, possibly with hail this afternoon, most of these over the Pennines.

The week ahead will see some changeable weather. Today looks largely fine and dry albeit with increasing cloud ahead of a front which will bring some rain tonight. Light and variable, mainly SE'ly winds and a high of 12 C.

A grey, misty start with extensive low stratus cloud. This will lift and break through the morning to give us some hazy sunshine this afternoon. Light S-SE winds. Maximum temperature 15 C.

A lot more cloud around today than previous days but we'll have some sunny intervals at times, especially this afternoon. Gentle N winds and remaining mild with a high of 16 C.

Another fine spring day for us. A little more in the way of high cirrus cloud making sunshine hazy at times. Temperatures similar to yesterday with a high around 17 C but with gentle SE'ly winds it'll feel warmer.

Feeling quite pleasant today with temperatures reaching 15 C. Cloud tending to break up with sunny spells developing by the afternoon. Quite breezy with a fresh SSW'ly wind.

Another breezy day, but not as windy as yesterday when we peaked at 48 KT. Some sunny spells and showers this morning, cloudier in afternoon with a small risk of hail and thunder. Fresh to strong SW winds, easing later and feeling chilly with a high of only 8 C.

An unsettled and windy day. Some patchy rain this morning, more persistent this afternoon, as the front goes through mid-afternoon some very heavy rain likely. Windy with a strong SSW wind, strengthening further this morning with gusts up to 40- 45 KT likely. A high of 13 C.
