"Street medicine teams". Give me a break. How many years are we into this crisis? How many years has Raman been on council? This is not a serious change in strategy where a very serious change in stratgey is needed.

I can see Skid Row from my bedroom window. None of these policy proposals ever address key issues: folks who don't want to leave the street; folks who create dangerous environments for businesses, residents, and visitors; and folks who will never live on their own again.

@MicMonksLA I haven’t lived in SoCal for many years, but I became a big fan of KFI back in the mid 90s. For the most part, many of the quality people that are there have been there for 30 years or close to it. The one person that I miss most, I don’t know if you ever met him because he wasn’t part of the layoffs, he retired, but you remind me of him… Wayne Resnick. It’s OK to be a little bit of a social liberal, as long as you balance it with a strong fiscally conservative responsibility. You do that really well. I can still remember your introduction to the station when you went on John’s show and he introduced you to the audience. I can tell your show with Chris is going to be a long running duo, as you two are well balanced. Something I feel strongly about that I would love to hear you put to the candidates as you are giving them their hour of equal time is regarding men playing women’s sports. This can ruin the youth of their once in a lifetime upbringing. California is STILL allowing this.

@MicMonksLA We were there on Ash Wednesday, don't know when the plaque and feet were taken, though. Last saw them intact on December 13 (and collected some metal dust from the paperboy's shoe as a sad souvenir).

For shame! After the paperboy in the General Otis group was stolen, the Los Angeles Times publisher's last companions were the worldly ladies sculpted by Prince Paul Troubetzkoy. Their beauty was otherworldly. But the cops won't enforce AB 476 and the city is much uglier for it.

It’s really important that Venice, Hollywood, McArthur Park and Skid Row are not open air drug markets! Vulnerable and addicted people are coerced and preyed upon, small businesses close, and residents aren’t safe. We have to be honest and serious about addressing these issues.
