I was not going to chime in on this, but I think I must. I came across this painting today, kind of hard not to, as it is being shared and talked about endlessly, and it stirred some honest thoughts in my spirit. In the image, Donald Trump stands in a white robe with a red cloak, laying his hand on the forehead of a sick older man in a hospital bed. Bright light shines from his hand, as if divine healing is flowing. Around them are a praying woman, a caring nurse, and others watching with hope and awe. Above, the American flag waves, bald eagles soar, the Statue of Liberty stands tall, fighter jets fly by, and heavenly light breaks through the clouds with rising figures of soldiers and heroes. The artist clearly wanted to show a leader bringing comfort, strength, and healing to the hurting, with symbols of faith, freedom, and national pride all around. While I understand the hope many feel when they see this, something in my heart also pauses. The Bible teaches that true healing power belongs to Jesus alone. When He walked the earth, He laid hands on the sick, and they were made whole by God’s authority. No man, no matter how strong or well-meaning, can take that place. Isaiah 42:8 reminds us, “I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another.” This painting seems to walk very close to the line, if not over it, of giving a human leader glory that should stay with Christ. It may be meant as a symbol of hope for America, but we must be careful not to let any image or person pull our eyes away from the only true Healer and Savior. Let us pray for the sick, for our nation, and for those in authority, just as Scripture tells us. But let our deepest hope rest in Jesus, not in any painting, any flag, or any man. What do you see when you look at this image? Does it lift your eyes to God, or does it stir something else in your heart? Honestly, it did not sit well with me.

Good morning!  It's a good day to pray for our leaders. Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Father in Heaven, You who steady the earth beneath our feet, we come to You today to pray for our leaders. They carry the hopes of families, the futures of children, and the fragile trust of a nation. Give them, we ask, a higher road to walk. Not the easy path of comfort or the loud road of applause, but the narrow way of righteousness that only the brave and the humble dare to travel. Let integrity be the air they breathe, justice the rhythm of their steps, and mercy the quiet strength that keeps them steady when power pulls them low. When temptation whispers shortcuts, remind them of the weight of every decision. When pride rises, bend their hearts toward the wisdom that comes from You alone. Help them remember they lead not for themselves, but for the least and the last, the widow, the worker, the stranger, the child. May their lives shine like morning light on still water, clear, steady, and true, so that those who follow may find courage to live better too. We ask this not because we deserve it, but because You are good and Your ways are higher. In the Name of Jesus, our perfect Leader, Amen.

God So Loves You If you’ve experienced any part of the Bible, you probably know that John 3:16 highlights a vital part of the gospel message… “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NIV Think about it: “For God so loved the world …” God didn’t merely like the world, but He loved the world. He loved you so much that He created you, made a way for you, and desired a forever relationship with you. “… that he gave his one and only Son …” Because of God’s immense love for the world, He gave—generously and sacrificially—His one and only Son … because it’s only through His death that we can have life. “… that whoever believes in him …” It’s not enough to know that Jesus existed as a real, historical person—James 2:19 reminds us that even the demons believe that and shudder. Believing in Jesus means we choose to trust Him as Savior and Master of our lives. “… shall not perish but have eternal life.” We cannot earn our salvation, but we can trust the One who saves us. God created us for eternity, but He also gave us the ability to choose Him. Eternity isn’t something for the distant future, but it’s already in motion right now.

This is so cool… How do blind and low-vision fans “watch” live sports? They used to rely on sighted friends describing every play. Now, thanks to the @onecourt.io device, they can feel the game independently. It’s real-time haptic vibrations + audio play-by-play for every dribble, pass, shot, and fast break. Game-changing accessibility!

Growing old can feel challenging at times. Our bodies grow weaker, our memories may fade, and we draw nearer to the close of this earthly chapter. Yet we face it with peace and hope, not fear. For when this life ends, a beautiful new one begins! Our body and mind will be made whole again, strong and perfect, and best of all, we will see Jesus face to face. 🥰 What a wonderful promise the Lord gives us! In Him, every ending becomes a glorious beginning filled with joy, light, and everlasting love. Let us hold fast to that truth and walk each day with thankful hearts.
