I see the Boston City Hall as one of the weirdest examples of truth in advertising yet devised. It’s an inverted pyramid that, because of the odd way the first floor is handled, never quite seems to touch the ground — thus it’s perfect for a city dominated by a massively overinflated bureaucracy that makes all its decisions in a state of serene disconnection from the real world. The sheer barren desolation of the plaza in front of it is a nice touch, too.
