Athletic Director Boo Corrigan is prioritizing a candidate who “knows our culture and views this program as a destination.”

I find this reprehensible from Cory. The good people of Rhode Island would never spread rumors about our dear basketball coach and NC State legend Archie Miller.
We all love him, and will be sad to see him go back home to Raleigh!

Neither does NC State. The only rumors being spread about him are from Rhode Island fans trying to get him out after going 55–71 in four seasons.

Was Archie Miller on a flight to NC State or was he at the State House yesterday? (State House). Either way, had @BillKoch25 in to talk about the state of the URI men’s program.

Billy Donovan being in the NBA for the last 11 years, while college basketball completely changed ... makes him a better UNC candidate, not worse.
College basketball is pro basketball now. I actually think Billy (or another NBA guy) makes a ton of sense.

@TomPenders Interesting to see Mike Malone on this list. I remember you following his dad at Rhody. When you took the team to the Sweet 16 you were very gracious to his father Brendan and had him come to a game. Very classy move by you to honor a coach who helped build that team.

Losing 40-50 games a year has aged Billy “The Kid” Donovan! The shelf life doesn’t last long in big time college or the NBA. Morgan Wooten, the HOF high school coach always said “if you’re happy where you are don’t leave for another job.” That still applies!

Agree. BC is not a good D1 opportunity. If they offer him 5-6 million it might work but they don’t put any money into basketball. BC has done nothing but lose since they carelessly fired Al Skinner. Skinner’s success was amazing but Losers Lose in the end.
