The impact was immediate. During the events, the team identified 6 active TB cases, 4 cases in children under five, and 2 MDR cases. These results prove how critical early detection is, and we expect even more cases to be confirmed as the reports for the week are finalized.

Last week through the weekend, MIK teamed up with the Vihiga County TB task force for a high-impact, outreaches in Hamisi Sub-County, centered at Shamahoho and Likindu hospitals. Organized ahead of World TB Day 2026, The mission focused on mopping out TB cases at the community.
