Today marks the 55th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. On June 28th, 1969, LGBTQ+ patrons at the Stonewall Inn in NYC fought back against a police raid, leading to six days of protests. This uprising sparked the modern-day LGBTQ+ movement and is commemorated by Pride festivals.
