On 6/27/2007 I opened my "hobo" knapsack and touched desperation. At the time I had no idea that this amorphous gift would become a daily reprieve from a lifelong struggle. Maybe there's one person that need to hear that I have been free from the grips of death for 17 years.

Mining For Gold spent the day in Broward County for the second annual Practicing Justice-Centered Movement workshop, supported by Broward Black Babies Mater of the Broward Healthy Start Coalition.

Many scholars of Color have been trying to understand racism their entire life. People racialized as White go to a 30-minute DEI presentation and think they know all things, and thus create more harm.

Freedom requires works. Liberation requires sacrifice.
