@MLFootball A) Schwarber should grow up. What a putz B) Get rid of 2nd place medal ceremonies. We have the same problem at the Minnesota High School hockey and basketball tournaments. Give 2nd place team their medals in the locker room. Let the winners celebrate and runners-up exit.

🚨BRUTAL🚨 Team USA slugger Kyle Schwarber received a silver medal from the commissioner and RIPPED IT OFF before he got to the dugout. It is awful that the Team USA players are being forced to accept the second-place medals on the field after the loss.

@coachhop21 I am far more concerned about how we get to 8 teams in 4A in boys and girls. Coaches have been fighting for years to get rid of regional representation like football has done in 6A. That's my annual rant.

@coachhop21 We lost the quarterfinals on TV when MSHSL went to 4 tiers of basketball...and it's for both boys and girls. TV would be great but Ch 45 didn't want a full week of staffing two venues in both boys and girls games is my guess. Probably didn't make $$ sense for them.

Annual rant about the MN State Basketball Tournament not being on tv. Quarterfinals might get more viewers because more teams are involved. Huge disservice to the athletes not being seen on tv.

@JonKrawczynski "a" coach needs to be there. Kids from losing team shouldn't even be asked to do a post-game media presser. And while we're at it, kids from winning team should be made available for one on ones, at every state tournament. Presser is stupid set up. This isn't the Super Bowl.

@hockeylogic @laplante71 Coach should be there. Kids shouldn't even be asked to go. But "a" coach should show up for post-game presser. Also, let's do away with the medal ceremony for the losing team. Give them theirs in the locker room. "Let's smile as we get our 2nd place medals" said nobody, ever.

@laplante71 I didn’t like how they handled the medal ceremony but I’m going to cut them some slack on the presser. Don’t expect them to answer questions about the game. They’re hs kids, not professional athletes.
