So many replies to this - frighteningly, some people’s situations are worse than this.

I love being a teacher but giving English teachers 10 days (while teaching all day and on top of other responsibilities) to mark 56 literature essays all between 2-3 sides of A4 each is actually irresponsible.

We *must* find opportunities to talk up women in the sector and especially leadership. It is becoming increasingly difficult to read all male shout outs, but especially when it is women that are omitting women from the conversation.

@SarahGi78263526 Get him to learn 3 quotes in real detail for ao2 for his main 3 Lit texts. AO1 will be fine with references w/out direct quotes. Poetry anthology - get him to learn 3 poems really well that he can compare to the others as though they're unseen. Unseen - treat like Lang paper x

Advice from English GCSE teachers please. I tutor a lovely yr10 boy who is autistic. He is struggling with the amount & complexity of the Literature texts. I feel he should drop the GCSE, he is unlikely to pass. The school will not allow this. How should my tutoring proceed?

Want to connect with leaders who have used videos (outsourced/in-house) as a basis for staff CPD in schools. I'm working on a project to codify and align teaching practices across school and am keen to use videos for staff CPD. Please RT! @HughesHaili @IRIS_Connect @FunkyPedagogy

A thread about how we have used Microsoft Teams for CPD: In case it's useful, here is where we are up to so far in providing an online platform for staff to access a range of CPD. Initially developed over lockdown, it has continued to act as a central space for a range of CPD.

@MissRobinsonEng @HughesHaili @IRIS_Connect @FunkyPedagogy We’ve set up our own in-House trust wide video CPD called Trinity TV. @MrsWaite872 has led on it at our school and across the trust to pull things together. Every school has been involved in uploading content. She will be able to help 👍🏻
