We hope that our S6 pupils and volunteer staff enjoy their trip to Alton Towers this weekend.
Leaving @harrisacdundee at 2am…. Looks like there won’t be the monsoon encountered last year! 🙏🏻🤞🏻
Have an amazing time everyone. 👍🏻

Knowing for the past few weeks that this moment was fast approaching didn’t make it any less heartbreaking to hear the news early this morning that Janey had died.
Janey Godley truly was a force of nature, and one of the funniest people I have ever known. I was able to visit her in the hospice a couple of weeks ago and though she was fragile, she still had me in stitches.
Janey was also incredibly kind. And she made the world a better place.
A bond was forged between us in the darkest days of Covid when her famous voiceovers of my daily briefings went viral. In the toughest of times, she made people laugh - and that was precious. She did more that that though. In managing to project the serious public health messages of my briefings to a much wider audience than I would have managed alone, she helped save lives.
The photos on this post are from an event we did together last year - it was a special night.
I was so proud to call Janey a friend and will miss her hugely. My heart goes out to her family and many friends - they are in my thoughts today.
I know Frank will have been there, holding the door for her as she went - with a tear in his eye, as I have in mine. RIP my friend ❤️

@megabusuk boarded the 9.35am Dundee to Edinburgh bus this morning and got off at stop just before Waverley station. Driver would not open luggage compartment for friends to remove case. We were staying at haymarket but we all had to get back on to get off at Waverley. Awful.

@HMRCcustomers Great thank you so so much for your help today. Steph

@Miss_Steph2011 As long as the code is now taking into consideration the previous pay & tax it will calculate how much is owed that has been missed previously. It will take that as a lump sum on the next payment if the code is used on a cumulative basis. Sofia
English

Good morning, @HMRCcustomers are here until 8pm to answer your general queries. Please don't post any personal details.
English

@HMRCcustomers Sorry what do you mean by cumulative basis? Steph
English

@Miss_Steph2011 Thanks Stephanie. If you've now included the previous pay & tax & issued the code on a cumulative basis the code will take the tax owed for the last few months & the standard amount for her Octobers pay. Yes, this should be correct going forward. Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers What I’ve done is gone into the starter details and entered her previous figures. Should that be ok? I’ve left the tax code as the one you sent me. Steph
English

@Miss_Steph2011 Ok thanks. Yes, the previous pay & tax details would need to be included when the tax code was operated so we know how much tax needs deducting. Sofia
English

@HMRCcustomers Ok great. I’ve done this now. Is that ok? I’ve run November payroll and she has had a high amount taken off but I presume that’s because it’s for august to October when she has been here but not paid tax? Should this now be fine in November? Steph
English

@HMRCcustomers From April to August she earned 7905.60 in her previous job. Then has earned with us since. Steph
English

@HMRCcustomers Hi I have an employee who feels she should be getting taxed. She started in August and filled in a starter checklist, had come from another job and so she was included in the rti submission. I was sent a new tax code which I changed on payroll but still she is not getting taxed.
English

@HMRCcustomers Yes as far as I can see when she logs into her gateway. Could it be because the figures on the letter with the new tax code weren’t entered to Iris? Steph
English

@Miss_Steph2011 Ok, has the employee definitely earned enough in total so far this tax year to be paying tax? It would be £7332 up to month 7 (October). Nancy
English

@HMRCcustomers Hi it showed at the bottom of the sheet. We just changed the tax code. It’s Iris we use. Steph
English

@Miss_Steph2011 Just to clarify, did the new tax code include the pay and tax from the previous job? If so, was this included in the RTI submission? Nancy
English

@Miss_Steph2011 Hi Stephanie, what tax code has been used? Sofia

@ODEONCinemas I purchased tickets for Barbie for this coming Sunday at odeon Dundee but seem to have deleted my confirmation email. At the time of booking I took a screenshot of the QR code that came up, would that do?
