Looking for physical activity opportunities for students in Winnipeg's West End. What kinds of facilities are there that would give students unique movement and physical activity experiences? Thanks for the help!

Looking for studies citing actual benefits to learning when starting the day with physical activity. I thought this was a well researched fact but as I have read several studies and meta-analyses I'm seeing the the research doesn't show this so far. Any help is appreciated.

@duolingo I've been having issues opening the app this week. I reinstalled and now it won't let me login. I try to reset my password and it won't recognize my email. I don't think I have any freezes left. A bit worried I'll lose it all. Any help is appreciated!

@duolingo I tried some resets yesterday with no luck. I don't see a reset in my email from today. Could you private message me and I can confirm the email with you. I'd rather nit post it here. Thanks.

Boxing and MA folks: any recommended sprays for de-odourizing your gloves? I bought a bunch of gloves for my Phys. Ed. department and want to keep them as 'fresh' as possible.

@CoachKevinCarr Hey coach. Is this a worthwhile test for teens as well? Or is it too young to do because it's likely way too easy? Is there a variation they should do?

Sacropenia not only increases the likelihood of accidental falls and challenges with activities of daily living but can have a cascading metabolic effect due to a loss of lean body mass. The key to maintaining our physical resilience at an advanced age is to train aggressively while we are younger and continue to do so for as long as possible. From a training perspective this means consistently training both bilateral and unilateral lower body exercises as well as lower body power exercises like skips, hops, jumps and bound to maintain the power output from our nervous system.

Is there a season 3 of @batman The Audio Adventures coming out? @DCOfficial I need more of that. Such a spectacular production with a story left incomplete!

5. Single Leg Heel Raise Isos No one likes small calf muscles. Engaging the calves through isometrics like this one will help prevent small calves, but more importantly, help drive away knee pain.

3. Dumbbell Reverse Lunges Strong quads leads to less knee pain. Reverse lunges are the perfect exercise to strengthen your quads (and glutes for bonus).

1-2x a week 1-5 reps Resources…other strength coaches. Beyond that (at the risk of sounding on both bad ends of the spectrum)… Some of the stuff is so deeply engrained I don’t know where it came from. And I’m not currently reading and researching because I’m producing something of my own so I just don’t have the time.

Volleyball is a power sport. Period. A simple way to develop power is to pair a strength movement with a jump or plyometric. Vertical emphasis: 💪🏼Goblet squat 🐰Jump to box Horizontal emphasis: 🏋️RDL 🦘Broad Jump Also…idk if I’ve mentioned it but RDLs are my literal favorite. This is her first day with the barbell🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

Isometrics are amazing for jumper’s knee. But at some point, you need to move on: - band assisted pogos - slow tempo hip hinges - slow tempo step ups It’s all about progressing loads and rates (closer and closer to sport) of the patellar tendon based on next morning pain.
