The United Arab Emirates reaffirmed that food security is a top national priority and an integral part of broader national security frameworks, stressing the importance of proactive and flexible strategies to ensure supply chain stability and protect regional and global food systems from external factors and evolving geopolitical and climate conditions.
This was highlighted in the UAE’s official address delivered by H.E. Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, during the opening session of the FAO Regional Conference for the Near East, NERC38, chaired by the UAE and bringing together ministers and senior officials from across the region.
