I learnt recently that plants know when they're being eaten. They also communicate, and they send warnings to one another. For instance, when an insect starts chewing a leaf, the plant can detect that it isn’t just an ordinary touch from the wind or a passerby. As a result, the plant tries to save other plants by releasing some chemicals (messages) into the air. When other plants receive this message, they start activating their own defenses before they’re attacked. They might make themselves bitter or toxic to the "attacker." The craziest part is that they can call for backup. Some plants release chemicals that attract predators to come and attack the insect eating them. Weird but real...

Enugu State Government has now made it compulsory for all their schools to participate in 2027 South East Maths Olympiad. They are 1260 public schools. I will be meeting with all their principals today to address them. This is intentionality and we appreciate the Governor.

Yesterday, Thursday 23rd May, after meeting with His Excellency the Governor Bala of Bauchi State, I proceeded to Madarasatu Intisharu Islam Qismu in Bauchi, where I had visited in the past and supported them with the sum of 5million naira to provide chairs and other items for the school. On visiting yesterday, and seeing improvements that have been achieved and how enthusiastic the children are, I was glad and gave them another sum of 5million to support the scholarship of indigent students. We must invest in the lives of these children for our own future and for the progress of the country. A new Nigeria is POssible.-PO
