I graduated in 2015 and didn't read The Great Gatsby in high school.
My teachers tended to use books from Black authors so a lot of the typical "classics," I've never read.

Now people are in my mentions like "we didn't read The Great Gatsby in high school, grandma!" YEAH, that's a problem. That book is not that hard, it's incredibly relevant. A high school education now isn't as rigorous as the past. Most importantly tho, I'm not blaming the kids.

Aviation uses public infrastructure. That doesn’t make it public transit. Public transit is designed for consistent, accessible, subsidized movement of the general population within a system.
Air travel is privatized, capacity-limited, and not guaranteed or accessible to the public in the same way. It operates on profit, not public necessity.

Aviation IS public transport and is funneled through airports which are publicly funded and regulated usually by local municipalities similarly to the way buses, trains, trolleys etc are….the federal government also heavily subsidizes aviation.
