Sunday marks 7 years since the  forced mass displacement of Rohingya people and other communities from Myanmar’s Rakhine State. To this day, the Rohingya continue to suffer new outbursts of despicable violence in Myanmar. This is unacceptable. The Rohingya and other civilians must be protected.

Excited to find this in my 📬 today: a @CUPAcademic collection brilliantly assembled by Jeff Dunoff & Mark Pollack—great as a teaching tool. The dialogical conclusion with exchanges between all contributors & Joseph Weiler is something I’ve not seen before & it’s gold

@worldbankdata just discontinued its Doing Business reports (DBR). It's a big deal and worthy of an explanation as to what the Bank's project (DBP) was, how it worked, and what went wrong. Thread! worldbank.org/en/news/statem…

Hard to determine which is quicker Pace at which Afghan govt capitulated. Frenzy with which US evacuated. Speed with which Taliban overran the country. Alacrity with which everyone with turf agendas of their own & rights abuses in their own backyards pointing fingers at others

The real purpose of an all-India NRC, coupled with the CAB…is to formalize an unequal, tiered society, in which one set of people has no rights and lives at the mercy, or on the good will, of another India: Intimations of an Ending via @thenation thenation.com/article/arundh…
