@franzsherbert The lack of awareness is startling, and I generally like those people.

This list is always funny because the classical schooling people are always crowing about how it's a based epic le Western Civilization list that owns the libs and then you look at it and it is the 100% most utterly conventional high school reading list you could possibly imagine
Jeremy Wayne Tate@JeremyTate41

Just got off with the New York Times wanting my thoughts about the new mandatory reading list in Texas. I kept repeating that I think it’s awesome. Then she asked me if it concerns me that Muslim students will now have to read the Bible in school. I said that’s awesome too.

The people making these lists have an incredibly stunted view of literature. You can have classic books while still removing ones that will not maintain a teenager's interests. Others, like Fahrenheit 451, are consistently taught wrong.

Not that the memes of Karmelo being a “slut for BWC” aren’t funny, but if you have to seriously indulge in prison rape fantasies you are probably coping that your justice system couldn’t administer a proper penalty

The hateful and racist riots in Southampton, Belfast, and Derry across the UK are insanely disrespectful to Stephen Ogilvie, Henry Nowak, and their families, all of whom have urged the violence to stop. Stop it. You’re not helping.

@SimoneHCollins Certain forms of media objectively rewire their brains, and you keep them away for the same reason you don't allow them to snort cocaine. Porn is a prime example.

You can't truly shelter a person unless you hermetically seal them for life. Your only option is to annotate. People who think they're "protecting" their kids from various forms of media are actually relinquishing their role as teachers and setting up their kids for failure.

im sure this movement to completely isolate people from exposure to anything erotic until they're 18 wont have any lasting repercussions to their sexual development

When asked about the supposed growth of Catholicism in Africa way back in 1991, Archbishop Lefebvre responded: "It is, unfortunately, not a real progress of Catholicism ... What religion will they have? It will no longer be the Catholic religion, but a kind of religious syncretism with purely external manifestations." wmreview.org/p/lefebvre-las…

I know I'm really late in weighing in on this topic of aborting Downs Syndrome babies, but here's my experience as a priest who used to be involved in medicine: Obviously, a baby with a genetic disorder is made just as much in the image and likeness of God as one conceived with a normal genome. That goes without saying. But I can't even begin to tell you how many crying couples I have counseled over the years who were told by their OB clinician that their baby had Trisomy 18 or Trisomy 21 or another issue... and yet the baby was born totally normal! Yes, docs are giving false diagnoses to big families in order to lead them to abortion. This might sound far-fetched, but I have seen this numerous times. In fact, such false diagnoses are suspiciously given to families who already have numerous children. And yet, baby is born totally normal and healthy... over and over in my experience counseling big families. Again, the babies born with disabilities are just as precious (some would say even more!) than those born without disabilities. But do NOT believe every pre-natal diagnosis you receive. Many of them are false-positives on a host of genetic issues for the sake of "population control."
Collin Rugg@CollinRugg

YouTuber Jesse Ridgway and his wife abort their child after finding out the baby had Down syndrome. Ridgway cited that they chose to kill the baby after deciding that he and his wife didn't want to be inconvenienced with a child with Down syndrome. "Things have been pretty dark for a while for us, and we felt this was gonna be a nice little ray of sunshine, and it's not." Horrific and selfish. An estimated 67% - 85% of pregnancies in the U.S. with a Down syndrome diagnosis are aborted. This is evil. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
