I need married people to stop telling unmarried people online about the sacrifices and ways they’ve willingly compromised to keep the marriage healthy. You don’t get to put years of my hard work and everything I’ve built on the line, then dismiss it as an April Fool’s joke. That kind of misinformation has real consequences, and it affects not just me but the people connected to my brand.
This also isn’t the first time something you’ve done something like this, which makes it even harder to overlook. If this behavior keeps being excused as a joke, it will continue to damage people’s reputations unfairly.
At some point, there has to be accountability, this time you must be held accountable. This goes beyond a simple apology.

As a man, I can cook, I can wash, and I handle home chores. The only thing a woman can do that I cannot is get pregnant. Even during that pregnancy, I will adore you and care about you more than you care about yourself.
So I do not see how we would be in a relationship or married and you would expect me to feel like you are doing me a favor.
The idea among many Nigerian women of turning marriage into a transactional tool seems to come from a poverty mindset or from growing up in families where there was no genuine love between the parents.

Not gonna lie! I understand why men fight tooth and nail to uphold the patriarchy or are passive aggressive when it’s being discussed cause wdym. My breakfast lunch and dinner is premade and served, I can “help out” with childcare with no societal obligations to apart from providing money. I can go and work and say I want a partner who also provides and get one🙂↔️🙂↔️. Clothes cleaned… Daly house logistics managed. All I need to do us provide the basics and if by chance the economy is too bad for me to. I still get sympathy 🙂↔️🙂↔️
