@heymrsbond I enjoy having 1st period planning...but I struggle with having a 4th period class. I've only ever had last period planning once in 6 years and I'm excited to have 4th period planning next semester. I'd rather prepare the afternoon before and leave on time.

One of my personal goals is to shift my focus away from explicitly teaching the language and towards teaching students strategies they can use on their own (eg., how to use a dictionary, annotation, paraphrasing, self-monitoring, etc.)

I can't say enough about how much I love using ChatGPT to generate and organize ideas. We like to demonize technology but y'all...that's nothing new and AI is here to stay. It may not be able to think critically but it can do a heck of a lot that would make me tear my hair out.

Science --> talk about the EPA
Math --> talk about economics
SS --> self-explanatory....
Literature --> citing text evidence is the first anchor standard in my state, and source credibility is a critical thinking skill relevant to politics
