𝗦𝗰́𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗮 𝗡́𝗢𝗴 ⓶⓪⓶⓸ The county final of Scór Na NÓg was held on Sunday, 3rd November, in Tullamore GAA Centre. Participation had increased from previous years, and it was great to see some old clubs returning to Scor. The day began with the Trath Na gCeist and following a very close competition the following 3 teams qualified for the stage competition. They were as follows: Raheen, Tullamore, and Edenderry GAA. This part of the Trath Na gCeist are individual rounds, and following completion of this competition, @RaheenGaa emerged victorious and will now go on to represent Offaly in the Leinster Final on 30th November. The other competitions on the day were Amhranaoicht Aonair (solo singing),  Aithriseoreacht/Scealaoicht (Recitation), Bailead Ghrupa (Ballad Group) and Ceol Uirlise (Instrumental Music). The standard of competition on the day was of the highest standard and the adjudicators had some difficult decisions to make. The winners will now go on to represent Offaly in the Leinster Semi-Finals on the 16th November in Tullamore GAA Centre starting at 5pm. Refereed a game last night (U15 division 4 shield final, about as far from Sam Maguire as it gets!) One team won by 24 points. They made 2 subs (corner back & corner forward), and 3 players on the bench got no game time. When will coaches learn 😩

It's amazing what survives the test of time. This hurl made by local Des Mannion made back in 1998 ahead of Offaly's last senior All Ireland win which hung proudly around the Cross of Killyon that time.
