A month ago @Author_YTM read us her new book “Brown Girl in the Snow”. We were surprised to return from March break and see that our sweet potato slips have grown…just like in the story!! We also have a new addition to our classroom library! Exciting times @SJV_TCDSB

Our grade 5 and 6 students from Mr. Kartos’ class showcased their learning about African Canadians. Ss used the Sankofa anthology to learn about the experiences of Black Canadians @Equity_TCDSB @TCDSB @SJV_TCDSB

Our grade 3 class learned so much from author Sade Smith’s virtual visit today! Ss listened to a read aloud of “Julie and the Mango Tree” and learned about Caribbean fruits @Equity_TCDSB @sadesmithauthor @TCDSB
