Throughout our inquiry into Van Gogh, we've covered a wide range of elements, materials and techniques in G1. Here, we explored symmetry whilst recreating Van Gogh's Irises. They are such a cheerful addition to the entryway to the primary art room! #cognitaway #stamfordhk

Grade 2's exploration of Colour Theory has led us to Kandinsky and his use of tertiary colours. Our students created these magnificent compositions inspired by Kandinsky's Circles In a Circle. They certainly add a splash of colour to the 4th floor! #stamfordhk #cognitaway

Hanukkah Shalom! Last week in G1, we prepared for the festivities by learning all about Hanukkah & singing traditional songs in English and Hebrew. As Hanukkah often referred to as the festival of lights, it seemed fitting to create these translucent Stars of David. #cognitaway

As we study abstract art in G2, we explored Kandinsky's use of shape and colour. We reimagined his Circle in a Circle 1923 into stain glass-like artworks. The Noisy Paint Box explains his synesthesia, which lent to Kandinsy's unique relationship with colour and music #cognitaway
