Harry Thuku planted the seed for self-governance, Mary Muthoni Nyanjiru and over 100 killed. The Mau Mau fought bravely, + Adolf Hitler had weakened the mighty Brits, we got uhuru. Charles Rubia and co. spearheaded multi-party democracy. Today, we yearn for good governance.

"Developing countries" is just a nicer way of saying: nations plundered by the West, and still recovering. China and Iran have each been the world's #1 economy or superpower several times in the past. They're not "catching up" to the West but reclaiming their historical status.

There's a whole industry built around African poverty. NGOs, consultants, conferences, awareness campaigns, celebrity endorsements.  Billions of dollars flow through this system every year, employing thousands of well-paid Westerners. None of those people have an incentive for the problem to actually be solved, because if African poverty disappeared tomorrow, they'd all need new jobs.  I'm not saying they're evil.  I'm saying the incentive structure is broken, and incentives shape behavior more than intentions do.

I don't know if it's just me, but this guy has destroyed our will to dominate the region and conquer. Even during Ganja 1, the hopelessness wasn't this bad.

The only way Africa will ever develop is if we Merge our small countries into Powerful Regional Hegemons that can project power like Iran. Then we flush out all the Parasitic entities and corporations that control our means of production, and replace them with our own. African Mining companies, African Banks, African Military contractors, African Oil suppliers like Dangote… A Bank like Equity should be all over East & Central Africa. Same goes for Safaricom. Hata hii KPLC. Imagine the kind of Economic Cohesion we would have if all 400 Million people in this region had Electricity, safe roads, M-Kopa Android phones, Safaricom phone numbers, Mpesa and FAIBA Internet All the Gifts of Kenyan Democracy

The IMF and World bank are not Africa's partners. They are Africa's obstacles. And it's about time African nations treated them as such.

"The last drop of milk" – a plea to breastfeed her child before execution left humanity speechless. This photograph was taken in 1972 in Ca Mau, Vietnam! The war is over, but the wounds remain.
