The least Entry level pay (Graduate trainee) I’ve seen is 250k per month and the most I’ve seen (which is not even the highest out there) is 1.25m per month.

Better wake up from your bubble. I was a fresh graduate of geophysics , with 4.47 cgpa. Dem offer me 70k as salary. Increased it to 90k the following year. Say no structured company will offer you 95k as a salary . Inside this same Lagos 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Don’t even trigger me, my friend was doing 70k too, in a “structured” company. She literally cried every night, I’m glad she works remotely now, earning better You talk about graduate trainee programs, 🤣you apply and enter now. 130k applicants, 500 selected.

Nah, not entirely true. Library & Information Science has solid paths beyond corper pay—digital archiving, knowledge management, cataloging, data curation, records mgmt, even AI info systems. In Nigeria, librarian roles often pay 100k–280k+ NGN/month (academic/gov/private). 27+ active LIS jobs listed today. Limited in some spots, but upskilling opens doors. Not a dead end if you adapt. What's your take?

i don't know when you graduated or which company offered you that salary.
but i'm telling you now, the least a fresh graduate gets in a structured company today, bad as the market may be, is 150k. (give or take)
and i'm not even saying that's a huge amount.
the point is this skill you're telling people to go and learn instead......
who's teaching it? with what laptop? on what data? funded by which income?
the same person you're telling to quit or avoid employment is the one who needs a steady income to even afford the courses, the tools, and the time to learn.
you can't learn if you haven't eaten.
the 9-5 you're dismissing could be the very thing funding the transition you're romanticising
