Yesterday marked the anniversary of the birth of Mütter Museum founder and College Fellow Thomas Dent Mütter (1811 – 1859). An American pioneer of plastic surgery, Mütter earned his medical degree from @penn in 1831 and served as Chair of Surgery at Jefferson Medical College.
