People keep criticizing Sylus mains for speaking up about the situation, but what many don't know, is that for a lot of us, it's not just only "a character" Sylus is way more than that. He's a safe place For many of us, he's taught us to love ourselves, to be better, to challenge ourselves, take risks... We love Sylus for who he is, his story, his traits, and how he is with mc. But now they are taking that away and giving an important part of Sylus, what makes him special, to another character Yet no matter how hard they try to recreate him or his success, he is one of a kind. He's unique and special to a lot of us, so we have all the right to be angry at the situation, we are llowed to complain and to speak up about this

last thing i'm going to say on this shitshow for now is the "it's just a game you guys are so emotional" mindset is really strange to me when you tell somebody an album really helped you through a hard time or waiting a week for a new episode of a show helped you keep going or a book changed your outlook, nobody looks at you crazy, but somehow when it's an otome game then everything that could possibly mean to you is reduced to "fake pixel man" all media becomes more than itself. the things we love are all permanently attached to something in our lives, whether it's good times, bad times, people we knew, places we were, and so on. you don't know what those fake pixel men might have done for the people who spent very real money and time on him. that fake pixel man could have been a place to rest after a miserable day at work, or something to look forward to after an exam, or a new perspective that opened the way to positive life changes, or anything at all. if you play casually and don't have any particular attachment, that's just another playstyle and it's fine, but it also means you shouldn't be so upset over backlash towards something that, by your own admission, has no meaning to you it is completely fair to take a faceless shitty billion dollar corporation to task for the real time, real money, and real effort that people put in with the expectation that the game would meet basic benchmarks of progress. if you don't think so, maybe you're just a lot more disturbed by real people being visibly emotional than you are by companies fleecing their supporters, and in that case, you're the problem
