Your West Midlands National Executive members, preparing to meet with the DfE today. Elected reps from all corners of @NAHTnews' nations and regions are in #Birmingham today for our union's regular governance meeting.

We are calling for an end to the Year 4 multiplication tables check. Teachers and pupils have worked incredibly hard to master times tables, including preparing for and undertaking the multiplication tables check. But it’s clear this test adds little value. Schools already teach times tables and with funding pressures mounting, it’s time to drop unnecessary bureaucracy and focus on real support for pupils. Read the full comment 👉 bit.ly/4fAqcf7
