A great day for the Trojans as we kicked off the Spring Track Season at the Dorman Distance Carnival. Events contested were the 400, 800, 1600 and 3200. A lot of great early season marks and some lifetime Personal Records were set today. Starting off the season strong. Today was the first of multiple Senior Leadership Meetings this season. We do not have official captains. If you need a leader, look for a Senior. Today they developed the Pillars of Success for our program so that we may thrive as a team both on and off the track. They split into small groups and came up with the values they believe are most important for success this season and beyond. All future meetings will have guest speakers from both Northwestern and the community. We are excited to have this group leading us. The Chain: Each event group matters and is needed to hold the chain together. There cannot be any weak links. We will be a complete track team excelling in all phases of a meet. Iron Attitude: Give every weight room session your best effort. Respect the coaches and hold your rack accountable. This is what will separate us from other track programs. Always Ready: We are only at track practice for 2 hours a day. Take care of your body and recovery during the other 22 hours. Eat properly, hydrate and prioritize quality sleep every night. Trojan Way: We will respect our teachers and all school personnel. We will take care of business academically and be leaders within our school building. All In: We will strive to give 100% effort in everything we do. We will show up on time ready to work to improve ourselves and those around us every single day. @RockHillSchools @Coach_JDuncan
