
it'll work, but it won't be great. it'd already a gain hungry mic so if your interface already has the gain CRANKED, you're gonna have to crank it more or boost it digitally. i know you audio talk so i won't bore you with details 🤣
and then you'll run into the second issue which will happen with any mic you choose. The further away the mic is from the sound source, the closer you're speaking voice is to the level of your background noise which makes it harder to noise gate and noise suppress. Doing so well no doubt create additional work for you.
As others have stated, shotgun Mike would work well here but it's going to take more work to get it sounding good because of the distance. And if you don't have a well sound treated room it'll be even more difficult
