Look what our brilliant OT Student created for the ward for #OTWeek 😍Tip for the day: sometimes I have to accept I can’t do it all, so delegate and share the workload and you can achieve amazing things! #OTHacks 🥳 ⁦@GlosHealthNHS⁩ ⁦@LInpatients

Happy OT Week! 🥳 Do you have a goal you want to achieve?- talk to someone about it and make yourself accountable to them. I always find this keeps me motivated and able to achieve more. #OTHacks @GlosHealthNHS

Social Prescribing is simply a term to describe an effective mechanism for supporting people to connect to community based activity - either via a community connector, or one of the amazing Link Workers throughout the country

Common thing done in amb practice that we need to change.... I've been guilty of it in past. We need to stop telling pts they can't bring mobility aids as they will get lost. We must transport mobility aids where possible to ED/ hosp when conveying older adults.

If someone has cognitive impairment make everything less scary. Get family or carers to attend. Explain what's going on. Ensure food, drink and toilets are obvious. Explain what's going on. Ensure pain is controlled. Explain what's going on. Listen. Explain what's going on.

Listened to ‘A Day In The Life of an Occupational Therapist’ by the MDTea Podcast during this mornings commute- what a great summary of the OT role within the Acute hospital setting. A valuable listen for all members of the MDT. #MDTea_Podcast #OT
