The University of Arizona partners with Sunnyside school district to help Indigenous students pursue a higher education. 👩‍🎓🌵 UA’s mentorship program, SOAR was created in 2005 to help students confidentially further their education.

Celebrating Native American Heritage EVERY day! We are proud to support 2️⃣4️⃣ @uarizona undergrads who provide: 🔹weekly in-person/online sessions for Native youth in Southern AZ & beyond! 🔹Native-focused campus visits & activities 🔹FUN, community building programming!

In addition to leading the way for institutional accountability in the areas of Native-servingness, Native SOAR, in collaboration with the American Indian Alumni Club, honored Martha Lee (NAI) for her continued service to Native @uarizona students, staff, and faculty. 3/3

Last week, Native SOAR hosted the first Indigenous Circle meeting of AY2023-24. @FTGaskin honored the legacy of Dr. Karen Francis-Begay & shared the history of the Assistant Vice Provost position. Interim Provost Dr. Ron Marx was invited to provide an update for the future of 1/3
