My simple solution to tanking. Phase 1: Award preliminary ping pong balls using a weighted inverse performance index adjusted for strength of schedule, injury-corrected win probability, and a 12-variable regression model updated nightly by a committee of actuaries sponsored by Emirates. Phase 2: Preliminary ping pong balls are distributed by an independent custodial agent following a 60-day comment period in which all 30 franchises may submit objections in writing then all 14 non-playoff teams are evaluated by a Warren Commission-type panel that assigns each a parameter in a simple ridge regression model. the coefficients are public. It's all powered by AWS.

This is how it feels to watch the NBA try to use flattening the lottery odds to stop teams from tanking

I don’t think the defensive gear is there for this to be a serious team

@KodiakBroncos He’d only be eligible to play the last 10 games of the season. Can’t play in the playoffs due to being cut after March 1st. At least Tyus Jones would be eligible to play in a playoff game in an emergency.

The Nuggets should unironically kick the tires on Cam Thomas -Sorely missing a guy to play the MPJ role even if it’s at SG -Need some legit scoring juice off the bench -Nuggets aren’t getting enough “splash plays” lately

Here is my Nuggets Mini Board 1.0 Currently the Nuggets are projected to pick at 22 and 48. I've put together a tier ranking of prospects that could be targeted with each pick. I'm still a few months away from the draft guide, but this is a solid start. What do you guys think?

Today was the first time the Denver Nuggets had both Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson since January 22 And the first time Denver had Gordon, Watson, and Nikola Jokic in same game since November 21

@Adam_Mares I know I shared this before but this season will only have be in Denver for 44 days during home stands. For reference the top third of the league has 62+ That’s a lot of nights not in your own bed with better recovery, sleep, overnight travel. Has to be exhausting

Denver has six back to backs this season where the first game has a start time 9pm ET or later and the second night two hours or more earlier. Late start, lose two hours. Most in the league, three more than the second most team, Kings. They also lead in back to backs with a two hour difference overall.

The Wizards trading for Trae Young + AD and benching them both for the rest of the season is a blatant sign that the NBA Lottery system has failed to stop tanking. I came up with a solution to fix it:
