Reading @JoeBiden 's book, and feeling both inspired to make a change for the better in the world and sympathetic to his loss as a widower myself.

Back to trying my @keyboardio mModel01. I've had to use my Kinesis for while, but work is slow for the next few weeks, so I should be able to work through the learning curve and give the Model01 a fair shot.

after a few days, I've had to switch back to my Kinesis Advantage. The @keyboardio Model 01 was causing some hand pain. I will keep trying.

@honten @keyboardio @kinesisergo I'm doing the same! We'll see in the long run which one I end up using, but I'll give the Model 01 a fair shot.

the non-uniformity of the keycaps on the @keyboardio Model 01 is causing a lot of typos for me while I'm adjusting to it.

@wbolster @keyboardio I'm for sure not unhappy with the Advantage, except for possibly the wrist rest area.

@wbolster @keyboardio The wood enclosure is also very pleasant to the touch, and the ability to update layouts is very compelling to me.

@wbolster @keyboardio Partially to try something new, but also I've always loved the split independent KB halves idea since I used a Kinesis Freestyle years ago.

@sgt_schultz_ @keyboardio for sure, but obviously it'll be a little while.

@handcoding I've been remapping things gradually as I find stumbling blocks, so my firmware image will probably not be fully settled for a few days.

@handcoding not really at this point. I only really needed to have backspace, enter, and space on my thumbs to be able to type pretty comfortably.

@keyboardio spent the morning tweaking the key mapping to match the Advantage layout I've gotten so used to over the years.

@keyboardio @keyboardio I'm gonna need new keycaps at some point, to match my "Advantage" key mapping.
