@ThePhDPlace I feel pretty blessed that I feel my academic superpower is speaking and communicating science! My ability to remain calm and composed on-stage while remaining fairly engaging is the skill I am MOST grateful for. Now what's my weakness, hmm.. 😂

What is your academic superpower? E.g. interviewing, writing ice-breaker question?

I've heard a lot of buzz about BlueSky. Seriously considering making the jump. For those who are on the platform, I'm curious about your thoughts?

Nor should I have to extensively try to "re-tailor" my page to show relevant content again. Note: I've been trying this and I have not seen enough of a difference to warrant any more effort.

This may have been me at the 2022 Proteoglycans GRC 😅 But I'm honored to be coming back as a discussion leader in both GRS and GRC, seeing new and familiar faces, and forging some rich connections! Networking is the name of the game!

Being able to see GAGs at this level of detail feels almost surreal.. Amazing work, and always stuns me seeing the imaging resolutions we're now capable of!

Such an honor to be invited back to my 2nd @2022Pg Proteoglycans Gordon Research Conference! Thank you to the amazing organizing committee and looking forward to hearing the awesome work being done on our favorite glycan chains 😄

Learnt how to do an ELISA, use a plate reader and now I'm designing PCR primers... my biology brain is coming out of hibernation this week 🤪

@lornakmilne And being a first gen is also equally as exciting because sometimes it feels like I'm just paving a road that's never been paved!

Everytime I'm waiting to board a plane I get struck by a wave of imposter syndrome. Growing up, I didn't know people who lived like this and it always felt like a life that was out of reach for people like me. Being a first gen is such an emotional roller coaster 😅

3. I've written this trip at the top of every goals list I've made since the first year of my PhD. I can't believe it's happening (& funded!). See you in summer Copenhagen! 🇩🇰

Messed up my neck so bad, I've barely been able to move the past couple of days. Having a swivel chair has been my only saving grace to move my eyes from one screen to another during this grant writing 😅
