One positive outlook from this game is the offense looked way better than last season. It’s only one game and I can confidently say I trust the offense to put up runs this season. Defense is a massive liability though.

Obviously Skenes wasn’t good. But a swinging bunt single, a bloop single, two fly balls that the center fielder couldn’t catch and a guy sticking his arm into a pitch isn’t cause for concern. What is cause for concern is Cruz. Maybe my most disliked Pirate ever. Drives me insane.
