The industry is naming this gap: Product Decision Intelligence. Not another dashboard or AI copilot. The layer that connects evidence to strategy so product leaders can decide with confidence.

84% of product teams worry they're building the wrong thing — despite more tools and data than ever. The problem isn't your tools. It's the space between them. 🧵

Marty Cagan, Teresa Torres, Melissa Perri — they've all described this missing layer from different angles. The pattern is converging. The question is who builds it as the foundation, not a bolt-on.

The decision intelligence market: $13.3B today, projected $50.1B by 2030. That kind of growth only happens when an entire industry recognizes a gap it can no longer ignore. 🧵

92% of product leaders are accountable for revenue. Only 26% can see the ROI of what they ship. That 66-point gap is why more data hasn't meant more confidence. nexoro.ai/blog/confidenc…

84% of product teams worry they're building the wrong thing. The cost: $2.25M/year could be wasted in engineering for a 50-person team. It's a missing layer between scattered signals and strategy. nexoro.ai/blog/84-percen…

84% of product teams worry the products they're building won't succeed in the market. The product tech stack has never been larger. Confidence has never been lower. The tools aren't the problem — the missing layer between them is. 🧵

Excited to test it out!
Lenny Rachitsky@lennysan

Texts from friends this morning: - "I won't be surprised if this goes viral because it's the most approachable content I've seen yet for people to get started with AI." - "I finally have a place to point people to when they ask me 'How do I get started with AI?'" - "By far the most useful how-to I’ve seen yet for people to get started with Cursor." Most AI content is designed to induce FOMO and make you feel behind, not to actually teach you anything. Today's post is the opposite. @talraviv and @amankhan spent 100+ hours building an interactive experience that teaches you the most essential AI concepts—from inside @cursor_ai itself. I’ve never seen anything like this before and I’m excited to bring it to you. If you've ever nodded along when someone says "context engineering" or "RAG" in a meeting—while hoping no one asks you to use them in a sentence—this post is for you. Don't miss this one: lennysnewsletter.com/p/how-to-build…

Agree! The way products are developed is changing as we speak!
Lenny Rachitsky@lennysan

You can’t build AI products like other products, for two reasons: 1. AI products are inherently non-deterministic 2. Every AI product must negotiate a tradeoff between agency and control When companies don’t recognize these differences, their AI products face unexpected failures, poor decision-making, and user trust in the product quietly erodes. After seeing this pattern play out across 50+ AI implementations at companies including @OpenAI, @Google, @Amazon, and @Databricks, Aishwarya Reganti and Kiriti Badam developed the Continuous Calibration/Continuous Development (CC/CD) framework to recognize the uniqueness of AI systems and help you build more intentional, stable, and trustworthy products. The name is a reference to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), but, unlike its namesake, it’s meant for systems where behavior is non-deterministic and agency needs to be earned. Learn more here: lennysnewsletter.com/p/why-your-ai-… P.S. Aishwarya and Kiriti currently have the #1 most popular course on Maven. Enrollment ends tomorrow (use code LENNYSLIST to get $100 off): maven.com/aishwarya-kiri…
