He revealed the news in the final episodes of Clarkson's Farm Season 5 (released June 17, 2026). After a routine medical and biopsy, he underwent directed sound wave surgery to remove about 10% of his prostate. There were some post-surgery complications, and the season ends with him in a hospital bed. Current status (13 months later): He appears to have recovered successfully. Clarkson has remained active since treatment — filming TV shows, writing columns, attending F1 events, and planning Season 6 of Clarkson's Farm. There are no reports of recurrence or ongoing major issues. He has described himself as “absolutely fine” in recent interviews, while using the diagnosis to promote early PSA testing. Early detection led to a strong outlook, consistent with near-100% survival rates for localized prostate cancer.

Acabei de chegar em casa. Uma vez por mês minha esposa sai para jantar com uma amiga para colocarem o papo em dia. Como é conversa de mulher, eu só apareço na hora de comer e beber. 😂 Minha filha fica brincando na brinquedoteca do restaurante enquanto elas conversam. Chegou a hora de pedir a conta, 4 chopes, 1 suco de laranja, uma agua e 1 filé a parmegiana. Minha parte deu 218. A amiga dela pagou o que consumiu e no total chegou a quase 350. Sem petiscos. Sem sobremesa. Sem nada extravagante. Só o básico para sentar, conversar e jantar. Aí a galera vê a inflação, índices e estatísticas na TV e parece que aquilo não significa nada, mas quando uma refeição comum para três pessoas passa de 300, aí não fica difícil de entender. E olha que eu ainda achei que ficou um valor bem acessivel.

Em 2019, fui alvo de ofensas pessoais e xingamentos em um voo entre Lisboa e Brasília. O responsável por esses atos, Paulo André Paiva de Oliveira, foi processado perante a Justiça do Distrito Federal, com o contraditório e a ampla defesa plenamente assegurados e, ao final, foi condenado a indenizar os danos morais causados. Concluído o processo, o réu propôs o pagamento parcelado da indenização. Ao concordar com o pedido, solicitei ao juiz que destinasse integralmente os valores à APAE de Diamantino (MT) e ao Instituto Migrações e Direitos Humanos (IMDH), duas entidades beneficentes que realizam trabalho de grande importância social. A primeira parcela, no valor de R$ 31 mil, já foi transferida à APAE no último dia 1º de junho. A decisão da Justiça reafirma um princípio elementar do Estado de Direito: críticas são naturais em uma democracia. Ofensas pessoais e xingamentos, porém, não encontram amparo na ordem jurídica. Divergências são legítimas e contribuem para o desenvolvimento da sociedade, mas devem ser manifestadas com civilidade e com o devido respeito às pessoas e às instituições.
