My dad taught me how to ride a bike by holding the seat at the top of a hill with sticker bushes at the bottom and said “when you turn away before the sticker bush you’ll be riding your bike.” He’d let go and face first I’d go into the bushes. Took 6 or 7 tries before I dodged them. No helmet, no nothing. Just pain. And in college we didn’t have DoorDash; we had to put on clothes, walk out into the elements, and actually drive to Wendy’s. HUNGOVER! Point is I agree you guys got screwed, but feeling sorry for yourself won’t fix anything. Time to put on your big boy pants and roll with the punches.
