Be mindful of ALL students. Get to know your students on a different level. See your students as people and treat them with utter respect.

@dr_s_bertrand A3: I would like to have alternative ways for clinical hours. I would honestly look at other options with colleges. Our major is hands on and I am not signing up for online classes because I don’t learn that way. This is pure anxiety. #tch204spring2020

@dr_s_bertrand A3: Some things that haven’t worked: assigning busy work, being harsh when grading, thinking students are just being at home doing nothing. Good: Taking away assignments, limiting assignments, thinking equitably tch204spring2020

@dr_s_bertrand A2: I’m trying to work ahead with assignment and plan out my days. I’m trying to stay as healthy as I can. I’m also trying to find some time for self care. #tch204spring2020

@dr_s_bertrand I’m working about 40 hours a week so I feel like I have no time to myself. I wish I was a student who was binging Netflix, but sadly I am not.

@dr_s_bertrand Q2: Extremly stressed out and overwhelmed. #tch204spring2020

Don't be mad at Zoom and online learning. It is only magnifying the poor pedagogy that was hidden behind your classroom doors #HipHopEd

@dr_s_bertrand A4: School should be a safe place for all students. during these uncertain times teachers have to address all learning in their classroom. Teachers have multiple resources to stay creative with their students. #tch204spring2020

@dr_s_bertrand To make content more centered on equity, I would try to have more diverse resources. Like we’ve mentioned, you want to have a source that’s true to the resource. I believe having diverse texts in the classroom is essential to expand learning beyond the norm. #tch204spring2020

@dr_s_bertrand @chrisemdin A2: I would LOVE to have a co-teacher in my classroom in the future. I like being able to see different points of views for teaching. I think that’s really important because you may be able to reach more students with another point of view rather than just one. #tch204spring2020
